Assign role-based permission levels based on desired user access.

Permission Levels

Customizable permission levels provide controlled access to groups of users.

To create a permission level:

  1. From the global top nav, mouseover Users and select Manage Permissions.
  2. Click the + icon to create a new permission level.
  3. Name the permission level and optionally, add a Description.
  4. Select the desired Access Type for each section.
  5. Click the Save button.

To edit or delete an existing permission level:

  1. Mouseover the gear menu next to the permission level you would like to edit.
  2. Select either Edit Permission or Delete Permission.
  3. If editing a permission level, click Save once you have finished editing.

 

Manage Users

Add an unlimited amount of users to your Simian account.

To add a new user:

  1. From the global top navigation, mouseover Users and select Manage Users.
  2. Click the + icon to add a new user.
  3. Input user information (areas marked with an asterisk are required).
  4. Select a User Permission Level.
  5. Click the Save button.
  6. Upon being added, a confirmation email will be sent to each new user.

Note: Simian has three default permission levels: Reels, Projects and Administrator. (See "Permission Levels" above to create custom permission level access).

To edit, delete or set users to inactive:

  1. Mouseover the gear icon next to the user and select Edit User or Delete User.
  2. If editing a user, click Save once you have finished editing.
  3. To inactivate a user, click Edit, set the status to Inactive from dropdown menu and then click Save.
