File management displays and facilitates the editing of key file information.

Managing a File

From inside of the Project, click the thumbnail or title in the folder tree of the file to be viewed.

This will launch the File Data (default tab) window. From here you can:

  1. Capture a Thumbnail
  2. Manually Replace Thumbnail
  3. Edit the File Title
  4. Edit the Filename
  5. Add a Description
  6. Internal Notes
  7. Tags
  8. Enable 360º/VR Player
  9. Metadata

Capture a Thumbnail (video only)

  1. On the video timeline, drag the playhead to the new thumbnail frame.
  2. Click the Capture Thumb button in the File Data tab.

Manually Replace a Thumbnail

  1. Click the Upload Thumb button.
  2. Select the new thumbnail from your computer.

Note: Required thumbnail dimensions: 240x135px. Supported file types: JPG, GIF and PNG.

Edit the File Title:

Click into the Title box and edit the title.

Note: Titles are displayed on Project and Microsite Presentations.


Edit the Filename:

Edit by typing in the Filename box.

Note: The Filename is the physical name of the file and is not displayed on presentations. Spaces in the filename are prohibited in order to be compatible with older operating systems and only web safe characters are allowed.


Add a Description:

Click into the Description box and add or edit a description.

Note: File descriptions will be displayed on Project and Microsite Presentations.


Add Internal Notes:

Type in the box labeled Internal Notes.

Note: Internal Notes are for internal use only and not displayed on presentations.


Manage Tags:

Enter all relevant tags in the Tags box separated by a comma.

Note: Tags are descriptors that further describe the contents of media and are searchable within project search.


Enable the 360º/VR Player

Slide the Enable 360º/VR Player button to On.


A Note About Metadata:
Metadata displays information about the file such as file format, audio and video format, codec, frame rate, bit rate, proxy file information as well as playback warnings.
